Trust me on this, Mexico City is the kidnapping capital of the world. World, I say! In 2007 the official number was 789, although Mexican authorities say most cases go unreported. And in the first 4 months of 2008 that number increased 76 percent. Kids, tourists, businessmen, and rival gang members seem to be the ransom bait of choice for the discriminating Mexican kidnapper. Fingers, toes and hands are systematically chopped off until the victim's family pays up. And I don't need to tell you what happens when the ransom isn't paid. But I'm sure none of this surprises you. Everyone knows that Mexico is a cesspool so let's move on to something more interesting, like second place.
Alright smarty pants, which city comes in number 2 on the list? Think carefully. South America is a big, bad place. Russia and parts of Eastern Europe are no strangers to all manner of foul play. Virtually the entire African continent is corrupt. And don't forget the vile pit known as the Middle East. Oh, hell, let's just get this over with, it's Phoenix, Arizona. The Phoenix, Arizona. In America. The Mexicans are playing their game on our field. Dang.

Your assertion that Arizona is "our field" ia a bit presumptuous. 100% of the Mexicans and about 90% of our politicians consider it an extension of "their field", until we get this whole ownership thing sorted out, we can expect much more excitement from the maystincs.
