Your team rapes Nanking, starts a war at Pearl Harbor, and murders thousands of defenseless prisoners in the Bataan death march, just to name a few good deeds. My team SAVES THE WORLD!
But hey, you're ok , I'm ok.
Oh well, at least the young folks will get a history lesson. Not.

You forgot the part about our team firebombing and killing hundreds of thousands of women and children, and dropping atomic bombs on cities and killing tens of thousands of civilians.
As the Vicar would say, you took the words right off my fingers. I read the same thing and I was really wondering about that "futility of war" comment. How exactly is the USA and England saving the world from two aggressive cultures bent on total world domination, futile? I think Clint should get in his time machine and go back to interview some pre-beaten into submission japs. He might not find them to be near as cuddly.

I didn't forget, James. Neither did I forget that those bombs were dropped in order to save the lives of hundreds of thousands of citizen soldiers and marines--young men who were minding their own business, happily working the farms and factories of America until they were drafted or compelled to enlist because of Pearl Harbor.

I was gonna tell James that since the Chinese were attacked without provocation and Japan was truly an emperialistic country at that time, AND we were attacked without good reason, we were right to submit them with any means necessary including atomic bombs. Hell at that point just about whatever we did was ok. In fact we could use our lessons of the past to teach lessons of the present, but alas we won't. We don't as a country have the will. I know it sounds cruelish but what if we rebuilt Iraq in the japanese image. Then Iraq would be a good place afterall

I would just like to thank James for taking the time to comment on our humble yet infallible blog. Ordinarily it's just the three of us at the rifle range shooting holes in paper, then James pops up and provides a live target. The King was pretty quick on the trigger and put 5 or 6 rounds right in the center of mass then the Vicar came along and administered the coup de grace behind the left ear. There is nothing much left for me to do except gape at the cooling corpse of James' misguided idea. I hope that James will come back and bring his friends because I for one love the sound it makes when the metal hits the meat.
