I just read where the mall in which the Omaha Kid slaughtered 8 people was a gun free zone. Too bad he didn't see the signs.

The posting of that sign may turn out to be very expensive for the owners of the mall. As I understand it, there is some legal precedent to argue that if a business insists that you give up your means of self defense before entering, then said business assumes full responsibility for your safety. There is some evidence (8 dead people) to suggest that the sign posters failed in that regard.
And yes, it is a shame the boy didn't see the sign because we all know that if he had realized that it was ILLEGAL to carry a gun on those premises, he would certainly have scrapped his plan for MASS MURDER and SUICIDE and just stayed home and played video games.
It would give me pleasure if you are correct about the mall's potential liability.
